On May 5, 2020 the Academic Partner Network (APN) hold its first Webinar. Since the invitation was launched, 76 interested participants signed up for this network, and 53 joined the webinar today.
The webinar featured two speakers: Kátia Fernandes, Climate Scientist at the University of Arkansas and leader of the APN at SERVIR-Amazonia presented the Program, and the objectives of the network. Glenn Hyman, Data and Science Lead discussed the service co-development concept and the services that are under development to date. Questions from participants covered opportunities for collaboration and capacity development, access to geospatial data, the impact of services on vulnerable populations, or the possibility of services to build upon already existing information platform in amazon countries.
The discussion with APN members continues on a knowledge sharing platform and a follow-up webinar will be organized to materialize opportunities for collaboration.
